Sophie Ackermann
Self-taught since 2018, I started with acrylic and since then I have tried to open my work to other techniques and possibilities.
The desire to paint has been in me since childhood, I was already taking drawing lessons at the age of 8.
That’s what got me allowed me to participate in my first exhibition for my 10th birthday.
And there you have it! These were my first steps in art!!
I love colors, symbols and spirituality, it is this clever cocktail that makes my style assert itself and is nourished by over time. My creativity can be expressed more easily.
I allow myself a certain freedom of style, my inspiration ranges from the figurative to the abstract, according to my inspirations.
J I use acrylic which better responds to my spontaneity and my desire to transfer my thoughts to the canvas. I sometimes add pastel or pencil lines which complete my painting.
Painting is used to convey beauty, to leave an intention and I like the idea that this intention, this emotion which is created, will remain in the memory of the spectator.
A painting can please, displease, question, make people dream, but in all cases, it should never leave you indifferent.
I like this quote which says that the art of painting is only the art of showing the invisible through the visible.< /p>
My paintings are a little window into my world which, I hope you will like
