I have been brought to life by art since childhood, but Il fall in love with embroidery in Diplôme des Métiers d'Arts. I sarted at Rochefort (in France), a city where embroidery is closely tied to french marine history. This art was used to decorate military uniforms.
Why embroidery?
This way of expressing myself includes long time. i mean that I need hours to embroider a very little subject. This create a particular link between me and my work. Each time, this is a part of me that is born under my eyes as the days go by. Embroidery is quite a rite, a prayer.
Mine are heading for nature which is full of beauty that needle help me to capture. (Not easily: matter does'nt always cooperate!) Sometimes, I also add real fragments of nature on my work, by using stones and leather.
