Sigita Rusina (Lapina) is a digital artist and photographer from Liepaja, Latvia, where she was born. Currently, she resides and works in Riga, Latvia, but she also explores other countries through her photographic art.
Her artistic journey began during her high school studies, where she specialized in art history and drawing. After that, she deepened her understanding of artistic photography by studying photography theory and practice with renowned Latvian experts such as R. Lielbriedis and M. Kundzins.
Since 1998, Sigita Rusina has been a full-time photographer. In 2007, she had the opportunity to present her first solo exhibition entitled "Mexico: colorful, unknown, different". This exhibition was followed by other solo exhibitions, including “Path to Harmony” in 2011, “Invisible in the Visible” in 2016 and “Elevation in Light” in 2017.
The main themes of his photographic work include nature, urban environment, man and abstract photography. Sigita Rusina is not limited to realistic landscapes, facts or frozen portraits. She is attracted to everything that is astonishing, irreversible and unpredictable.
His photographic work is above all the result of his need to take photos. It is both a challenge and an escape, a discipline and a passion. Her ultimate goal is to seek the truth and not be afraid to share what she discovers.
Sigita Rusina's works have been exhibited in a wide range of venues, including national and international competitions, regional and national exhibitions, public and professional establishments, churches, galleries, as well as in the travel industry. His artistic work continues to inspire and amaze a diverse audience through his tireless pursuit of truth through photography.
