Creativity and Freedom are the aspects obligatory for an artist to put one into limelight. Our great masters are still marked in history for having expressed those qualities. Ap.Shreethar endeavor’s towards making a mark like those renown masters.

Ap.Shreethar, a self taught artist from South India started his travel in to art at his age of 14. His first piece of art for the USSR Festival In India during Gorpochev’s period won him the state 2nd position and Mother Teresa Award. Following that He has won Lenin Muzem Award. He had developed an intact affinity with the Russian Culture center and he served as the cultural secretary of their Art Studio for several years.

His route then transmuted into designing poster for Films and Advertising Industries. He worked as design and cut and paste artist to Mr. Vijayasekar (corporate media men Advertising) from the film Naayagan to Thiruda Thiruda. When Computerization took over designer’s chore, He wished to quit from designing, as he felt offended towards Machine over Man.

Then he saw the road he had ignored to travel for some time, now he took art – Painting his full time pursuit. He started with realistic works like painting birds and landscapes. ‘Food for thought was his desire than food for the self’. He would sound synonym for the term Update, he would never give up his hard work to keep him updated about the developing trend. Now he identifies himself as a contemporary artist through his travel of 15 years as an artist. He has conducted 30 shows of his paintings out of which 12 were one-man Shows and 18 Group shows including exhibitions in Australia and Singapore.
