Des hauts et des bas (2013) Painting by Raoul Scipioni Guenancia

Born in 1961, I received a classical training from a prestigious Art School in Paris. (Penninghen School Met / Paris (ESAG) / ENSAD (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs) Degree / Paris. Today, at age 55, I am still working for an advertising company as a “roughman” (advertisement sketch artist) and I am now developing my second life through my paintings.
I practice as a painter since 2008 and I show my work since 2014. My painting studio is situated in Joinville-le-pont (2km from Paris)

• The first part of my work is a dreamlike look around Eternal Feminity. The tale start where the immediate meets the infinite, where precision merges with artistic blur.
It is a place where the search for happiness cloaks the reality of our unhappiness. Ultimately by drawing back from

• The second part of my work recreate the codes of the portrait of today with the selfie. My EGO-PORTRAITS are narcissistic mirrors : they hold in the duration pictures, changing all the time. In the era of Snapchat filters and Photoshop retouching,
