Autumn wet grey afternoon.
A rustle beneath my feet.
The slippery swishing traffic grieves along the red leaf-laden boulevard.
Brief fitful winds puff up fragile fallen tree-wings.
Some spin and dance in whirly elegance then rest aground awhile then rise again.
A quieting muffled hush.

The slippery swishing traffic grieves along the red leaf-laden boulevard.
Brief fitful winds puff up fragile fallen tree-wings.
Some spin and dance in whirly elegance then rest aground awhile then rise again.
A quieting muffled hush.
Then suddenly the scurry of a squirrel, and then not.
Two ravens shrill and dive within the branches' deep -- then rest observantly and still.
Sky naples-yellow through rusty maple trees ignites to orange-mellow.
A lone dark cloud whips fast across beneath a woolly silvery heavenly mantle beyond it up above.
Yet not a stir way down below.
And then another flutter and then none.
Nature’s last sporadic triggerings of tremulous excitement
before she spreads in white her peaceful frigid calm.

Roberto Romei Rotondo received a Masters Degree in 1985 at Concordia University, Montreal, under the guidance of the late renowned painter Guido Molinari.
He also studied Fine Arts at Florence’ s Academia Delle Belle Arti as well as Sculpture in Montreal under the guidance of sculptor Tino Petronzio.
His works hang in dozens of corporations, Dupont of Canada, Pirelli International, Enseicom, Rotana Hotels (Lebanon, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait), Fonex Data Systems, Assicurazioni La Fondaria, to name but a few.
