"Of Auvergne origin, native of Brioude (Haute-Loire), I built my life
adult in the North that I adopted.
I have drawn since childhood. My oldest memory is astonishment
to see that I had been able to restore beauty with simple colored pencils
pansy flowers that the teacher had suggested to us as a model.
The painters that attract me are Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Le Douanier Rousseau,
Henri Rivière, Hokusai... Also comic book artists
such as Patrice Pellerin, François Bourgeon, Enki Bilal...
Painting brings me a sense of wonder at the power of the imagination: from
from an impression, from an idea that arises, to see a landscape, characters, animals. I love these moments of creation during which I am
a path without really knowing where it will lead me.
I am also happy to keep the memory in a drawing, a painting
stays in nature. Better than a photo, drawing allows me to penetrate the landscape
that I admire in its structure and its colors, I recreate it.
Despite my great age, I am still as enthusiastic about my sheet of paper as anything
throughout my life..."
