Thérèse Richard was born in Montreal in 1930 in the Rosemont district. She evolved with a pen in one hand, colored pencils in the other and a good dose of talent for animation.

Before her marriage, she worked as a secretary at the St-Jean-Baptiste Society as well as for the Ste-Croix Fathers at Éditions Fidès and at St-Joseph's Oratory. She was also responsible for the J.O.C. (Jeunesse Ouvrière Catholique) on a voluntary basis, particularly in the Rosemont district.

Mother of 6 children, grandmother and great-grandmother, her life has been full. And, each holds a special place in their hearts.

But his journey has been strewn with pitfalls. His life was marked in a singular way by a divorce which occurred at a time when this was not commonplace. The situation was far from easy. Despite everything, she went through the trials with courage and creativity. His spirituality and personal growth classes have helped him come to grips with and cope with the music.

On the other hand, artistic activities served as a stick of resilience. This served as a release, an outlet to successfully get through. She therefore values art as a tool for personal growth or mental survival in adversity by escaping into the imagination.

Along her journey, she got involved in various ways with those who had a similar experience: women, children, single-parent families; but also the elderly. This, by bringing his talents as a contribution to promote the development of each. And, many are the activities constituting his baggage. However, not everything can be listed here. But, here are a few…

Advocating for the cause of women, she worked within the AFEAS organization where she did a lot of animation. Journalistic talents in her pocket, she naturally took the path of writing to write the organization's regional newsletter, "Le lien". She also wrote a column that appeared in the Guide de Montréal-Nord. She even assumed the role of president of the Association des Femmes chefs de famille at the CLSC de Montréal-Nord for a while.

These same talents were put at the service of the children. Moreover, the “Parent-secours” organization has benefited from his involvement in setting up a network in Montreal North. She also acted as a liaison officer and editor for the Guide de Montréal-Nord to represent the organization and raise public awareness.

And, advocating the development of children through sport, she also got involved in the Gymkana Gymnastics Club. She was a "speaker", editor and publicist via, once again, the Guide de Montréal-Nord. Although his words were sometimes incisive, they were always used with tact and diplomacy. And, they still served a worthy cause.

Later, it was the elderly who benefited from his ...
