Riccardo Castellano è un artista con un' altissima preparazione. Il suo percorso artstico inizia,infatti, al Liceo Artistico Brera di Milano e si conclude con Lode all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera.
Numerosi sono i cicli pittorici del Castellano, dai paesaggi ad olio ai più delicati acquerelli ai Pupi in acrilico dai colori potenti come l' isola a cui appartengono.
Parallelamente all'attività artistica condotta presso il suo studio di Milano il Castellano insegna materie artistiche in una prestigiosa scuola milanese.

Il ciclo dei Pupi vuol essere un' interpretazione moderna e assolutamente personale di un' arcaica tradizione storica e popolare della Regione amata dal Maestro
