Rémi COUDRAIN (Coudrain-Sculpteur), was born in Paris, from an architect father, he grew up in Aveyron in Espalion (France) where his father had an architectural firm, then with his grandparents farmers in Morocco where he spent his baccalaureate. He began carving stone at the age of 8, under the influence of an aunt artist. Later, he started studying architecture, then higher studies of Mathematics, he became a teacher in middle and high school. Always fond of sculpture, he began studying Art in Plastics at the same time, but finally, he remained self-taught. He has produced monumental works and fountains for several cities. (Wild child in Saint Sernin sur Rance, Fountains ...)
His current research is aimed at an audience of individuals, businesses or collectors, with a figurative style, an inspiration drawn from his passion for Greco-Roman sculpture, works of the Middle Ages and Renaissance artists. Closer to us, his admiration for Camille Claudel and Auguste Rodin will not leave him, and bronze will become his favorite material, noble material, so intense to transmit emotions.
His style is symbolic and suggestive, he is always in search of movement and the expression of emotions.
Earth, plaster and alchemy of bronze allow him to express his universe.
