Am 01.02.1952 wurde ich in Eschwege/ Hessen geboren. Schon in der Kindheit malte und zeichnete ich gerne. So nahm ich neben dem Kunstunterricht zusätzlich an Kunstarbeitsgruppen teil. Ich studierte Kunstgeschichte und Kunsterziehung, erteilte Unterricht im Kunstpädagogischen Zentrum (Nürnberg) und Kunsterziehung an einer Realschule. Seit 2009 habe ich meine Malerei und Zeichnung intensiviert, dabei an Malkursen der Akademie Faber-Castell in Stein/Nürnberg und an verschiedenen Workshops in Europa teilgenommen.
Im Februar 2019 eröffnete ich ein eigenes kleines Kunstatelier mit Galerie in 90513 Zirndorf, Hinterm Bahnhof 4, Raum 19 d, welches jeweils am Donnerstag, von 15-19 Uhr und nach Vereinbarung geöffnet hat.
Thematisch beschäftige ich mich unter anderem mit der Visualisierung innerer Prozesse, unterschiedlicher Ideen, Stimmungen und Emotionen. Hierbei widme ich mich neben der Darstellung von tatsächlichen Personen, Landschaften oder gesellschaftlichen Prozessen, der Kreation eigener Landschaften, in denen örtliche und zeitliche Ebenen miteinander verwoben sind. Die bildnerische Umsetzung erfolgt von mir selbst heraus allmählich. Inspirationen erhalte ich bei der Beobachtung der Menschen und Landschaften meiner näheren und weiteren Umgebung, auf Reisen und durch Zeitungsberichte.
Meine künstlerischen Techniken umfassen neben der Zeichnung mit verschiedenen Stiften auch die Malerei mit Acrylfarben, Aquarellfarben, Ölpastell- und Softpastellkreiden auf Papier, Pappe und Leinwand oder einem Mix der Techniken. Ergänzend arbeite ich mit der Fotografie als Darstellungsform.
Zu meiner künstlerischen Entwicklung ist zu sagen, dass ich anfangs die Betonung auf die naturnahe Darstellung von Landschaften und Menschen ( z.B. Aktzeichnung) legte und dazu vorwiegend Aquarellfarben und Stifte verwendete. Quellen der Inspiration waren die Landschaften in der heimatlichen Umgebung, später Landschaften in Italien, Frankreich, Spanien und Griechenland ( Cinque Terre, Gardasees, Pon Pon( Frankreich), Teneriffa). Seit 2012 male ich im Sommer gerne auf der griechischen Insel Patmos, weil dort das Licht und die Motive besonders sind. Später abstrahierte ich das Gesehene.
Ich möchte das Unsichtbare, die Welt hinter/ unter den Dingen, mit Hilfe der Malerei, Zeichnung und Fotografie sichtbar machen. Mit meiner Kunst bekomme ich Zugang zum Unbewussten.
