About the Gallery

The Public House of Art is a privately funded Affordable Art platform, based in Amsterdam, whose aim is to produce and distribute art for a large, international audience.

We want to bring lifestyle and culture in the form of art into the lives of our followers. We believe communication is a crucial element for the presentation and fruition of visual arts.

Artists, especially those struggling to make it into the art world, are in need of guidance and support to showcase their work. The Public House of Art wants to provide them with a highly stimulating and professional platform. At the same time, we want to make the experience of collecting art accessible to a large audience.

This is why we commission specific works created for us for to our artists, that will periodically form our exclusive collections of limited editions, exhibited and sold with high quality standards at an affordable price.

Although newly born, in the first few months of life we have already been very active, by letting the quality of the artists collaborating with us speak for us. In the coming months we will be present in Art Fairs in Europe and abroad, we are organizing solo shows in major galleries for all the artists who already signed up with us, and we will soon inaugurate the first of our exhibition spaces.

Call for entries (Artists)

The gallery accepts applications from artists. Conditions for Artists's applications: We are building an innovative and professional platform for contemporary artists. We will select candidates from all over the world to join us, and produce commissioned, theme-based series of works. Their art will be showcased through our website, art fairs and galleries, and in our future exhibition space. Each “theme” will feature a small group of artists from media such as photography, painting, drawing, graphic design, collage and digital art. We will give successful candidates an opportunity to be in the spotlight for the duration of a six-months collection, and receive a compensation to produce their work.
