The Nutcracker and the Ballerina, a work from a series of reflections on the theme of children's fairy tales, images familiar from childhood and reinterpreted by the author. Gentle feminine ballerina unattainable for the hero Nutcracker. She is behind the doorway, they are incompatible. Beautiful and ugly, flexible and hard, sublime and earthly. They cannot be together, but he is fascinated by her, and the lamp burning with a multitude of lights above him is a symbol of light born of the contemplation of beauty in his tin soul.

Born in 1980 in Odessa. Graduated from the faculty of painting at the M. B. Grekov art - theatrical school and the art-graphic faculty at the National South Ukrainian University K.D Ushinsky. I am engaged in a collage, painting, photography, glyptic. Having received a classical education I experiment by combining various materials and techniques in my work. I live and work in Odessa. Works are in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.

Even before I learned to draw, I realized that I would be an artist. To be an artist means to have a special perception of the world, literary perception, where you perceive the world as a stage of a magical theater, on which a sacred action takes place, where the artist is a demiurge, and a person or thing is a symbol. For you, as a creator, there is no longer routine, beingness. I love philosophy, and I believe that reality can be infinitely different, and the artist combines these facets of the kaleidoscope into unique combinations. I am convinced that it is thinking that makes an artist an artist. Any technique can be mastered, this is a method, and intellectual rethinking of reality, plus the possession of various means of expression that the artist is able to pick up for intellectual content, gives rise to the ability to create a work of high-quality art.
