My impressions from the oldest Japanese fairy tale. The tale of the old man Taketori (also known as "Princess Kaguya") is a Japanese folk tale created in the Tenth century. It is considered the oldest surviving Japanese story, which is intertwined with fabulous and fantastic motifs of various origins: Japanese, Chinese, and Indian. Some of them are taken from the thick of Japanese folklore, others are inspired by Buddhist and Taoist legends.
I don't want to retell the whole story(read it!!listen to the audiobook), but briefly, in the moment captured here, the Princess from the moon, who tasted earth life with emotions, joys and suffering must return to her homeland-the moon. But after putting on the "heavenly clothes" and drinking the "heavenly drink", she will forget all these emotions...people...joy.love...suffering...For me, this moment is about the transition to a new state, gaining new strength ,about the pain of parting with the familiar .. and about the unknown new features received.....
