Pierre Kauffmann was born in 1973 and grew up in Alsace (Eastern France). He studied fine arts in Mulhouse where he obtained two diplomas in visual arts.
(1994 DNAP National Diploma in Plastic Arts/1996 DNSEP Higher National Diploma in Plastic Expression).
Based in Paris, he became professionally involved in the world of entertainment and street arts where he learned the techniques of costumes, sets and ephemeral plastic work.

For 10 years, he devoted himself to the collective artistic projects of the KMK company, a group of performing visual architects. It is throughout France and Europe that he expresses himself through landscape art projects, in situ plastic installations, open-air floating workshops, and performance shows.

At the same time, he developed a personal work of plastic and light installations, with which he participated in “Nuit Blanche” Paris in 2005.

He encountered architecture with the work of Hans Walter Müller and has since remained his assistant for the realization of large-scale inflatable projects.

It was in 2008 that he brought together the techniques and medium he loves in a single personal project and began the Pika-monuments collection.

The research of architecture takes him around the world, then develops plans and volumes adaptable to the human body. He thus manufactures structures/objects/costumes which he stages in situ. His work leads him to explore image graphics and video projection. From these series of photographs, he constructs a universe of playful and ornamental objects, pushing the variation of his own research further and further.

Architecture, sewing, performance, photography, graphic design and plastic installation are confirmed as her major creative tools.

For 7 years, the Pika-monuments collection has remained its flagship project.
His work has been presented in personal and group exhibitions in Paris and France.
