Jean Christophe Arnaud is a professional photographer. It is with "Esprit d'Eau", a series of shots taken over time, that the gaze falls on these discreet things in front of which we pass without really seeing them. Above all, a work based on research into the varieties of colors offered by Nature at specific times, a sort of alchemy between water, minerals, plants and light.
This observation, he has practiced for years, and it seemed interesting to him to fix this vision, to be the witness of this Nature so surprisingly beautiful. To observe one's environment is to become aware of its great fragility… Colors do not exist as such. They are revealed to us through light. He wanted to pay homage to the Impressionist painters who sought in the reflections of water, these hidden colors, these extraordinary combinations, these Impressions.
For a long time, during his walks along the water's edge, he saw... The same water, yet so changing, subject to the passage of time, the weather and its movements... Revelation! Multiple impressions of colors, caressing light on the surface of the water, myriads of colored spots juxtaposed to each other. From these visions were born the works of the "Esprit d'Eau" collection. Sometimes transparencies, sometimes reflections or shimmers, water so precious and in danger is here the primary subject of my photographic research.
Jean Christophe Arnaud has been a French photographer for more than 30 years and elected "Portraitist of France" in 2009 at the National Congress of Professional Photography in Lyon, Finalist "Golden Objective" at the last European Congress of Professional Photo in 2011, he is also a Google Approved photographer for the Business View program and a specialist in 360 degree panoramic photography for Drôme-Ardèche in 2012.
