Ces demoiselles comme elle les appelle, une facette de l’Âme humaine, une forme de miroir de soi, dans ces personnages, interrogateurs, torturés ou paradoxalement sensuels et sereins.
Aller à l'essentiel en quelques coups de crayon tel est son but : d'abord au fusain, Vanessa croque quelques traits de caractère avant de travailler la personnalité plus en profondeur à l'huile ou à l'acrylique.
Sa palette est faite de bleu, rouge, ocre... Elle dépeint ses personnages d'une manière expressionniste.

Going to the basics in a few pencil strokes is her goal: first charcoal, Vanessa sketches some character traits before working the personality deeper in oil or acrylic.
Her palette is made of blue, red, ocher ... She portrays her characters in an expressionist manner.
