Biography
Paul Berkholst (1956) is self-taught and makes watercolors and acrylic works of art.
The Dutch landscapes, especially those of Texel and Osdorp, are the main sources of inspiration.
In addition to landscapes, still lifes are an ever-recurring inspiration, which are not about true-to-life reproduction, but the impression of shape and color are especially important.

Paul Berkholst (1956) is autodidact en maakt acryl en gemengde techniek kunstwerken.
De Noord-Hollandse landschappen, vooral die van Texel en Amsterdam, zijn de belangrijkste inspiratiebronnen.
De landschappen zijn vooral een impressie van vorm en kleur en worden meestal "en plein air" gemaakt in de traditite van de oude Franse Impressionisten.

De Hollandse landschappen, vooral die van Texel en Osdorp, zijn de belangrijkste inspiratiebronnen.
Naast landschappen zijn stillevens een altijd terugkerende inspiratie, waarbij het niet gaat om het natuurgetrouw weergeven, maar vooral de impressie van vorm en kleur belangrijk zijn.
