She is described as a beautiful young woman, and she is also the love interest of the main character in the story Hamlet. Her love for Hamlet and her loyalty to her father creates friction and leads to tragedy in Ophelia's life.
In Act 4 Scene 7, Queen Gertrude reports that Ophelia had climbed into a willow tree, and that the branch had broken and dropped Ophelia into the brook, where she drowned. Gertrude says that Ophelia appeared "incapable of her own distress". Gertrude's announcement of Ophelia's death has been praised as one of the most poetic death announcements in literature.

'I would describe my art as transformational in a way that the process of Self-transformation is made easier and so is the receiving and questioning of the Self. The realization comes that anger, fear or sadness do not have to burn you out but you can integrate these emotions in order to give yourself more determination, power and motivation to experience life. I would like to hope that my art can help people to better understand the impact that their emotions have on their behaviour.
