Amish Parikh has been working as an fantasy illustrator for nearly fifteen years. In this time he's completed over four hundred original ink drawings and sold hundreds of limited edition prints and postcards. Additionally, his work has appeared in books, magazines, numerous brochures and advertisements. He also is active in pin-up and fantasy illustration education.

Amish Parikh first became interested in fantasy illustration as a young child, through the influence of an artistic NYC Gang. As a teenager he developed an affinity for such artists as Gustave Dore, Albrect Durer, and MC Escher, and decided to try his own hand at drawing.

While most of Amish's drawing ability was self-taught, he did receive some formal training at New York University in New York City. Afterwards he started working regularly within the medium of pen and ink. He developed a particular interest in rendering fantasy, architectural, and pin-up subjects, and began to show his work at galleries in and around the Big Apple, including Lincoln Center proper. His artwork has appeared in newspapers, brochures, websites, and books.

Amish's love of beautiful women and imaginative fantasy serves as a continuing source of inspiration, motivating him not only as an artist, but also as an creative advocate. Additionally, Amish is a member of the Guild of Fantasy and Pin-up Illustrators, a global organization comprised exclusively of artists specializing in fantasy and sci-fi themes.

"What continues to inspire me is the beauty of my subjects and my desire to share my vision of the world with others," he says. This vision has been enhanced and expanded by his travels throughout the United States and Canada, as well as within the state of Michigan, where he now resides.
