Artist's Statement

My experiences have made me poignantly aware of humanity's plight in our seemingly broken world. I am intrigued and encouraged by man's ability to rise above his/her difficult circumstances. In my art, I strive to focus on what is beautiful about our broken world. I choose subjects
that have the ability to lift our spirits and bring an intentional focus on God's love of His creation. To this end, I work with oil using striking colors yet simplicity in composition to evoke a sense of peace and well-being.
