She was tired..tired of the driving..of the ceaseless moving. They went from one migrant camp to another..hoping to find work..but there wasn't any. She and her child sat patiently..waiting for her husband to return..maybe this time ..with good news.
Their car had become their world..the only thing left that they owned. On the road from Oklahoma..to California, she wondered.."it's got to be better than this..it's just gotta".
