2000. Apple of discord...!!! Oil and acrylic on cardboard.
"Since ancient times, the expression "apple of discord" has become a figurative designation of any insignificant thing or event that can lead to large-scale, unpredictable and often destructive consequences. In the "bone of contention" they mainly see the confrontation of two opposing sides: material and ideological. On a negative wave, this often leads to unpredictable decisions ... But in this work I wanted to give an opportunity for a positive perception ... We must try to find a way out of any, even very difficult situations ...
To write the work, I used imagery, figurativeness, lively and emotional manner, bright, saturated colors of Neo-Expressionism. In the work I applied not only variation of lines and shapes, but also variation of color. Also included in the work are abstractionist fragments as a means of revealing the image."|
