- Nature is my inspiration - Nature, femininity, the beauty of Provence and the Côte d'Azur, flowers, animals, interpreted with gentleness and emotion are the vital sources which each time inspire me take me to territories from where I bring back new images. I like to show the unexpected and share the wonder in my works with a great predilection for watercolor because of the transparency of the colors, the speed of implementation, the atmospheres bright as I get.

I use this wonderful medium at all times in my artistic life for its capacity for suggestion as the leaven of my works and all my creative desires: luxury, fashion, perfume, beauty, decoration, design , painting, sculpture.

I also use it monochrome in washes of black in shades of gray. This form of writing, common among painters of the past, allows me to capture the essential without the ostentation of color. The impression that emerges can be compared to a black and white photographic print where the powerful contrasts alongside the subtle grays dramatize the scene while synthesizing it.

Artist, artistic director, designer in the field of luxury, fashion, perfume and decoration, well-known brands have been seduced by the poetic universe of my watercolors and my creations. I am particularly grateful to them:

-Parfums Lolita Lempicka, Pacific Création, Lolita Lempicka couture Paris, Cartier International, Parfums Christian Dior, Parfums Azzaro, Parfums Annick Goutal, Champagne Krug, Nobilis, Nespresso, Daniel Hechter , CJ Home Shopping South Korea, Salon L'Art du Jardin, Jardiland, Maisons Côté Sud, Paris Joyce, Daum, Ladurée…

-Equestrio-Spring Issue 2015-Pascal Renauldon: " The equestrian works of Michel Charrier, watercolors or black ink drawings with sober lines and great finesse which suggest the essential: the harmony between the horse, the ;man and nature, the beauty and grace of the horse and riders, the beautiful, supple and varied gaits of the animal!"

-Horse Days-Anne Deram: look with what finesse the shapes of the horse are suggested. Observe the harmony of the features combined with a unique shaping of the light which transports us to romantic stories where the horse is the main actor. Discover the equestrian, vaporous and powerful expression of this painter."

-l'Eperon et Cavadeos- Claude Bigeon:"Creator designer in the world of fashion, luxury and perfume, Michel Charrier draws and paints horses and their riders with gentleness and emotion."
