‌As the painter Piet Mondrian so rightly says “The artist's situation is humble. He is essentially a channel ”and to achieve this he is endowed with a skin-deep sensitivity, the very one which many times in our society can be a nuisance, which he hates, becomes here a gift, a treasure that 'he cherishes.
My desire is to create simply to create, to free my mind from all its thoughts, its uncontrolled emotions. I let myself be carried away by the feeling, without reflection, like an automatic writing, by awakening my five senses. I like to represent the soul of the being, entering its intimacy to extract its part of shadow and light.
My works are the personification of the inner transformations that take place in each of us and in our environment during major changes. Naturally curious, I am driven by the constant desire to discover new horizons. Mythologies, beliefs, myths and legends are great sources of inspiration for me.
The mosaic allows me to transcribe all these movements thanks to the process of separation and reorganization of the material. Depending on the needs, whether they are saturation, hue or luminosity, I use enamels, ceramic tiles, mirrors and various recovered materials. Some works are the result of mixing mosaic and acrylic paint.
I am self-taught and proud of it. You will love or hate my works, I just hope you will not be indifferent because there is nothing worse than nothing. I will leave the last word to the poet Francis Ponque who perfectly sums up my intentions.
