Ocheana

I am a Canadian by birth, a mother and grandmother. I was born in Alberta and raised in BC and lived most of my working life in the East. Came back to BC when I retired in '94.

I have been painting, drawing, digital art, sculpting, carving, doing needlework and writing all my life. Creativity to me is a lifestyle.

I work in various mediums but in my painting I tend to stay with acrylics. The human form is basically what I paint mostly. I also do various styles from primitive to futuristic. I very seldom put a face on my creations because I like to let people use their imaginations when viewing my art. I quite often take pictures of my art, scan it into my computer and use my skills to bring forth another view of that painting. Although I do have pure digital art that I have done.

My drawings are charcoal.

In my sculpture it is mainly busts showing the dark emotions of mankind.

I do do some Native American art . My subjects are always birds, wolves, orcas, bears and mystical creatures. I have carved masks, done beadwork and painted drums also.

I generally create to music or sound.
