Née en région parisienne le 18/08/83, Aurélie LAGARDE a connu une
enfance partagée entre le maniement des crayons et des couleurs. A l'âge de
12 ans, elle peint son 1er tableau et dès lors s'en suit une série de
réalisations avec entre autres sa participation il y a 8ans à un
concours de dessin dont le thème était d'imaginer à quoi ressemblerait l an
2000."Aux âmes biens nées la valeur n attend point le nombre d années",
en 2004 alors qu elle n a que 21 ans,c est la consécration avec la 1ere
exposition de ses oeuvres au mois de juin au Village Suisse,galerie
Artitude dans le 15em arrondissement.
Son style est marqué par une forte expression de couleurs vivantes
faites de différentes techniques propres à elle et non
conventionnelles:LA NOUVELLE NATURE MORTE.

Avec la Nouvelle nature morte, Aurélie a pour ambition de révolutionner
la conception de la Nature et du style Figuratif avec une nouvelle
approche futuriste, riches en couleurs. Pour parvenir à ses fins elle fait
de la non convention son cheval de bataille.
Ses sujets de prédilection sont les lieux mythiques , les grands
monuments et l'architecture des grandes agglomérations de part le monde.
A cet effet elle promène son pinceau dans les grandes villes d'Europe telles que Dublin, Londres, San francisco.



Aurélie Lagarde was born on 18th August ,1983 near Paris
She has already done an exhibition between the 17th and 28 th June 2004 in Paris ,Village Suisse ,Galerie artitude.
The first important thing about her works is that she cannot stand convention , conventional things...that is what you are going to see .

About the apples and the pears:

She has done a lot of apples and she is going on because she thinks that what interests herself is the colour she can give them and also using different technics.
It is almost the same in every of her work..the colour ,she really likes working on different combinations of colours. The colours mean Life ..She thinks that is what gives life to a painting. Yesterday ,these sort of drawings were called or considered as "Still life"..Today she is calling them "New still life"..that is what she created and she wants everyone to recognise this term after her.

About the characters and places:

The fisrt drawing she did was for a competition when she was about 12 years old ...in whom she had to imagine what the year 2000 would be like , we were in 1996 then and for a 12 years old girl , year 2000 was expected as the big change .So she started to find a place , she was looking for a kind of futurist place....She finally found the golden gate in San Francisco because it had something magical for her ..then she wanted to put characters "the year 2000 characters" so she created these kind of characters doing "year 2000 stuff".
She decided to go on , later in 1999 ...others places !
She started with Dublin then with London...
Now she is actually going on ...She is looking for more places like big famous cities through the world .....

She loves cities of the world , what she likes most is that they are all different in a way but also all the same ,just big cities.
She intends to do more paintings about some streets of the big world cities...
She will never reproduce a street or a place of a city as it already is.
because everyone can see them as they are ...but not as she sees them or want them to look like.
Her style is fugurative and mainly naïve.
