A native Ohioan, j. takes inspiration from her surroundings and emotions.
j. began drawing as a young girl and in her teenage years turned to painting after being encouraged by her high school art teacher. Life intervened in the ensuing years and she gave up her dream of becoming an artist. Now, at 29, she has decided to once again pick up her brushes and pursue her passion.
j. has no formal training and is currently trying to find her niche in the art world.

New Beginnings

Inspiration is all around us, if we choose to see.
I like to draw my inspiration from my emotions, and from life in general. The world is a never-ending source of material. I'm still experimenting with different medias, but I work mostly in acrylics. I know that I have a long way to go in finding myself artistically, but I am passionate about what I do and am determined to follow this path as far as it will take me. HEY! This is awesome! Much better looking than your last online menagerie! This way you can display your own artwork without a partner who wants to put you in the corner. You can shine for you and no one can make you a shitty header graphic!

Oh man! THIS is so much nicer than the last one. If you ever get board with the layout let me know I found a cute one, I didn't make it, but it's cute. I love this though!!! SO much more tasteful than before and it isn't detracting form the artwork!
I like 'the space between'.. It immediatley made me think of hot meeting cold, where often, spectacular things transpire..
