Miriam Careaga was born in Holland in July 13, 1956. She immigrated to Israel in 1977.
Thanks to her father, nature and photography have always been her hobby and her passion. She always had a deep love for fine arts.

Miriam studied photography with Yaakov Bornstein in Tel-Aviv, 2002. Upon finalizing her studies, her Gypsy heart called and she left Israel in January 2003. She has since been traveling the world with her camera.

During these globally turbulent times, Miriam seeks to touch people and re-awaken their spirituality by sharing creations of beauty, serenity, and harmony, where one can find refuge from daily exposure to the horrors of war, violence, stress, materialism. Her current lifestyle allows her unique perception to show through in her art.

Miriam and her husband Stephen are planning on spending the early summer months of 2004 on their boat in the Sea of Cortez. Thereafter they will be visiting the western states of Mexico and the South West United States.

The photographs on this site are of inferior quality since the maximum permitted file size is 50Kb. Hence, the quality is incomparable to a fine art print... Regretfully, all the works in this online gallery were stolen in Australia in 2003 and thus no longer available.

You may find her latest works, several of which are now on permanent display in the gallery "The New Old Mazatlan", Mazatlan, Mexico, on the website link herebelow.

'Teach your children what we have taught our children; that the earth is our mother.'
- Chief Seattle, Suqwamish and Duwamish

'Everything on earth has a purpose... every person, a mission.'
-Mourning Dove/Christine Quintasket, Salish

Man plans and God laughs...
