At a very young age, she felt an attraction for the arts and studied at the Collège St-Maurice en Art in Saint-Hyacinthe. Seeing little openness in this field, she decided to complete studies in computer science. In 2006, during a sabbatical year, she enrolled in oil painting classes with Anne Drouin. It was a revelation: a real return to the source.
Marie-Claude is above all passionate about portraits. She is a portrait painter at heart.
She likes to capture the features, shapes and capture the movement of the characters she reproduces in order to make them more expressive. During these numerous exhibitions, she organizes herself to perform live portraits either in pencil, pastel or oil
in order to demonstrate his technique and the correctness of his drawing. She finds it motivating to produce her art among the public because she feels the positive energy flowing through it.
With a childhood marked by classical music, she began to paint ballerinas. She gives them grace, femininity and sensuality in a decor that moves to the rhythm of the music. With the same sweetness, she shows another facet of roses seen up close by adding bright and unusual colors. The roses fit quite naturally into his compositions with the dancers, giving a touch of originality and femininity. Finally, she signs with a ribbon that makes her subject of pure happiness waltz.
Through his works we feel a joy of living, a wonder. His luminous palette combined with his precise brushstrokes gives birth to canvases of great realism. In addition, the softness of his fabrics is obtained by meticulous brushing and blending of his tints.
Color, shape, shadow and light swirl and translate the emotions she seeks to convey.
She wants her works to seduce you and give you fullness and serenity.
