My painting ''Diver'' from the series "Walks". The idea of this art-series was born when I took two dogs . I began to walk a lot and often felt that my thoughts were separate from my body. Like a state of mind world exists in the head. I think this condition is familiar to anyone on the road. Thus, I place the heroes of my art-series in the urban environment, but instead of their portrait features I depict their thoughts. Painting "Diver" about a man, part of which is the sea and the adventures associated with it.
The combination of surrealism, abstractionism and the principles of collage painting perfectly fit my plan.
I hope that the interaction with painting gives impetus to the viewer's own creative thinking.

Marta Shmatava is a contemporary Belarusian painter. Her artistic journey began at the Minsk State Art College named after AK Glebov, where she laid the foundation for her creative skills. Subsequently, she furthered her artistic knowledge at the Belorussian Academy of Arts, solidifying her expertise in the field.
