Marius ZABINSKI was born in 1956 and he began his career as a painter very early, just after having studied for four years at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He already showed remarkable eclecticism, with an assertive pictorial technique in different styles. He is one of the few artists to have always made a living from his painting, unlike many others who did not find success until very late. His talent brought him to the attention of a French dealer who brought him to France in 1980 to organize several personal exhibitions for him.

If MARIUS is satisfied with the encouraging results of his first personal exhibitions with the Parisian public, his secret passion remains the Cubist style paintings that he executes for his personal pleasure without trying to sell them. He intuitively feels that this is perhaps one of the only areas of painting that has not been fully exploited and in which there is still to be discovered and created.

The contemporary cubist paintings that can currently be seen in galleries are generally pastiches inspired by the great masters of the genre and these are of only minor interest, even if they remain pleasant decorative motifs. It is quite different for the work of MARIUS which really bears a personal imprint and one cannot assimilate his paintings to any other artist. He himself has become a reference in the genre.

His last major exhibition in 2006 in New York: Retrospective at the Interart gallery was successful and he is now represented by several galleries across the Atlantic.
Marius lives and paints abroad but his paintings can be found in France at the Art & Collection, 7 rue du Dauphin in Honfleur.
