I have enlisted my own keen observation and experimentation to develope my technique as a self taught artist. I began taking a serious approach to my art in 2009 but it wasn't until 2010 that I discovered pastel and began to blossom as an artist. Through out the years I have dabbled in a variety of mediums including drawing, pen and ink, watercolor, oils and charcoal. The opacity and vibrant colors of pastel seemed most suited for my style and I am experimenting while honing my art skills in this medium.
I am also a published artist and have received numerous awards and recognition for my works. In 2011 I have begun to expand on my territory and have three solo exhibits listed for the next year in galleries throughout SE Minnesota as well as some art fair appearances.
