Cosmos Borealis: Bright skin of sky and cloud and mountain on the motionless pond. In the water below, swarms of reeds and silt and trout (in day skin and night skin and eyelids sealed in ice) that we pull out with silken cords, with hooks of fur or brightly colored feathers. Skin like glass like liquid like skin; our words slid across the smooth surface (mirror for the rising moon, circling stars, fluttering bats) so that we only had to whisper across the wide expanse. Green dragons bloomed powder-dry between the stones, shining white from pods that rose from the mud at the bottom of the pond and burst open at the water's skin. We whispered through the galaxies: Who needs Mars? "TINKERS" by Paul Harding.

When I read these lines I had an explosion of color in my head, but it took three weeks until I was able to translate this onto my canvas. Many possibilities presented themselves to me before I succeeded in creating this picture.

Dear art lovers,
I'm hARRY

As a trained locksmith, I came to art at the age of 23 through visits to museums, learned oil painting techniques and at the end of 1978 had my first exhibition as a self-taught artist in the Düsseldorf art scene.

I went hiking a lot during my childhood and youth and nature became my favourite subject. Over time I became aware that painting offers many ways of expressing yourself.

In 1979 I spent a long time in Paris and Provence, whose colours and light still influence me today.

In 1982 I put painting on the back burner to devote myself more to my family and the profession I had learned.

I successfully took part in many exhibitions and competitions.

From 1996 to 2011 I spent 2-3 months a year in the Hungarian Puszta. My exhibitions in Hungary were very well received.

Since 2012 I have devoted myself full-time to painting again.
