It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.
Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. Ludovic Grosset fut longtemps passionné par la peinture dite abstraite avant d'en produire lui-même ; il pratiqua le dessin académique très jeune, notamment le portrait. Il aimait également réaliser des photos de rue pour l'idée de mouvement et de narration qu'elle impliquait.
Au milieu des années quatre-vingt la fréquentation de la galerie A80 à Bordeaux avec ses choix magnifiques, et plus tard la rencontre avec Philippe Becker, peintre et architecte bordelais, lui ont donné confiance pour initier son propre travail.
Même si il a connu l'école des beaux arts de Bordeaux en auditeur libre il est autodidacte et sa première exposition personnelle eut lieu en 1997 dans cette même ville où il est né.
Il crois aux jeux d'associations impromptues, à l'enthousiasme suscité par le choix rapide et innocent de la main et à l'utilisation débridée de la couleur et des collages.
