"THE GREAT PAINTING" Born in Marseille in 1964, Louis-Jean Braye produced more than 600 digital prints (as well as 300 oils, the vast majority of which were destroyed, and around 250 acrylics). Every year, a learned cousin gave him material and advice to learn art: painting, sculpture and others. Louis-Jean contented himself with black cardboard to scratch off and he painted with diaminos as a feather. Indeed, the card is scratched with a knife or a metal pen. The canvases and oil costing too much, he was left with clay and modeling clay (beeswax). He tested, built and destroyed to rebuild. . . A dreamy, deviant artist, he always lets his imagination run wild to create better!
In Marseilles, he got in touch with painters whom he himself describes as quite unbearable! He looked, did not understand anything and at night he scratched boxes that' he blurred with pastels or gouache. In general, he didn't like so destroyed his work. He was looking for ??? But what ? He didn't know anything about it?
so he decided to change his technique and moved on to brushes and knives, pigments, binders and thinners and secatives. The death of his patron in 1995 marked a turning point and he decided to part with many of these works. He now produces graphic works. His work having been assessed favorably, it is possible to find Louis-Jean Braye on Akoun 2017,2018,2019,2020! Today many celebrities own his works and have sold a lot at auction :) which I have never seen the color of these sales :( internationally through his patron Maitre Manoveli
But the painter's health was compromised! And he destroyed his works and disappeared from the scene! In 2010 began to learn digital painting! Exhibition:) Imaginative Paintings acrylic canvas:) Cantarelle cellar in 2014 St Maximin la St Baume where he lived in a wooden cabin :)
