micro o macro? (2010) Sculpture by Lotti

The work represents the earth, using electrical cards reassembled by the artist, faithfully reproduces the physical conformation of our planet. But the question that this work wants to ask concerns the form, and specifically how it proposes itself equally in the macro world and in the micro world. Arriving the earth appears to us as far away as we were in space (macro world), but then as we get closer we enter the micro cip (micro world), and we discover incredibly how the shapes that make up the immensely large are identical to those that make up the immensely small. Clever philosophical game of words and visual metaphors.
