... this is some my original and early surface modelling design work with PowerSHAPE - a program that originated from Cambridge University - is likely as close as I will get to combining my artistic and engineering capabilities into a single medium - I have only recently taught myself how to use this program - I have less than 20 hours to date - PowerSHAPE is by far the most powerful surface modelling program I have ever witnessed - it is the first program of this type that I have been on - the model is entirely freelance - the design is via my imagination alone - I simply went by my memory of what I recalled an F1 racing car to look like - I think I have the scaled perspective and relationships close to reasonable - the overall length may be too short and it is not likely to impress anyone with the subsequent wind tunnel test results - this particular model took just over 11 hours to complete - it represents the outer shell alone so is not technically stiff - subsequent exercises will attempt to continue to layer greater detail of the underlying internal structure and systems - ideally a fully blown F1 model would result over time - it is my opinion that design engineers have yet to come close to tapping into the uber-rich capabilities this program offers - I hope to master the basic commands and drive the program into new territory beyond what is being delivered today - I see the potential and want to extract as much from it - hopefully I will upload some more work as my experience and skill evolves - notice how the car is decked out in Canadian colors - this is a nod of acknowledgement and homage to the greatest Canadian fighter jet ever produced here and one of such leading - bleeding edge design that the US government insisted we scrap the project and destroy the 006 prototypes built to not rival their own weaker fighter jet development efforts - one of Canada's two great shames: the first being the self-destruction of the tremendous - remarkably stunning - uber-advanced AVRO Arrow - the other being the execution of the rebellious Metis leader Louis Reil ...

Glenn Michael Morley is a Canadian painter and photographer who discovered his passion for art unexpectedly. Born in Canada, he earned a degree in mathematics and history at the University of Toronto, before working as a product development engineer. Yet despite this professional background, Glenn always appreciated the work of the Impressionists, especially Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Camille Pissarro, as well as artists like Louis David and Raoul Dufy.

It was in Lowell, Massachusetts, in the United States, that Glenn decided to take up painting. One very cold day, he came across van Gogh's Gear art store, run by artist Steve Syverson. Having no background in oil painting, he asked shop regulars for recommendations and left with enough paint, an easel, canvases and brushes to begin painting. He then lived in an old industrial building converted into a condominium, with 28-foot-high ceilings and a large window overlooking the city's man-made canal. The soft and unique light of this place inspired Glenn to create much of his work, which is often imbued with the ambiance of this place.

The first work he did, "Mother of Pearl", was created simply by letting inspiration guide colors. Glenn never took painting lessons because he felt the technique could too often stifle creativity and emotions. He wanted to focus on color and let his creativity run free, not trying to imitate a past style or create something with a specific meaning or meaning. For him, the important thing was to create colors and to be guided by the rhythm and the movement of his arms.

Today, Glenn Michael Morley is an accomplished artist, whose work is infused with his passion for color and creativity. He believes that location and environment have an impact on his work, as they influence his mood and emotions, which are then reflected in his painting.
