Lorenzo Bonamassa was born and lives in Florence. He works as a Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist. He has always been self-taught and has dedicated himself to figurative arts and poetry for many years. Since 2008 he has presented his works in Florence and surroundings individually or jointly with other artists.
Lorenzo Bonamassa adheres to an artistic style called "punk expressionism", or "hyper expressionism" in which sarcasm and play, aggression and protest combine with vision and introspection.
Since 2009 he has been a member of the Medici Pittori Group of the Order of Doctors and Dentists in Florence.
Since 2014 he has been a member of the Circolo Artico "Gruppo Donatello" in Florence.
From 2014 to July 2017 participated in numerous artistic manifestations of Puzzle art gallery in Florence.
Since September 2015 he has participated in urban art performances "Urban Garbage Art"(UGA). The idea behind the UGA was created by the artists Vincenzo Gualano and Lorenzo Bonamassa. It is an extemporaneous and collective artistic expression that transforms bulky waste, left behind in the junkyard, into sculptural and pictorial works (with the use of tempera and acrylic) and thus giving a new life to objects that no longer served any purpose.
