About the author
Silvia Pellicciari was born in Turin. He graduated from the Art School of the Piedmontese capital at the age of 18 with the desire to teach art education, but life later directed him to another path. He continued his studies and then worked as a psychologist collaborator in a school for hearing impaired children. Taking advantage of his aptitude for drawing, he organizes art education activities with elementary school students. In 1991 he arrived at the Municipality of Turin in a socio-cultural animation team for which he also designed and produced advertising posters for the cultural initiatives promoted.
In the meantime he cultivates interest in various decorative techniques, attending courses in decoupage, painting on glass, gilding, mosaic, painting on cloth, painting on third firing and cold ceramics. But the vocation for all that is art, dormant for years, makes itself felt so strong as to push her to resign twelve years later, to devote herself to teaching decorative arts and decorating objects and furniture with various techniques, and this is how the encounter with oil painting takes place, first as a self-taught artist, then as a student of the "I sesame seeds" school by Venere Chillemi, then by the painter Giorgio Simonaio and the painter Vinicio Perugia. For several years he has offered courses in drawing, painting and various decorative techniques on wood, glass and fabric.
He has participated in several major group exhibitions, see the complete biography.
