Hervé Marchelidon est né en 1965 à Orléans. Il vit dans le petit village de Tostes en Normandie dans le département de l’Eure.
Chimiste de formation, il travaillait en Recherche et Développement pour un grand groupe de l’industrie cosmétique.
En 1994, il se passionne pour la peinture et intègre, à Taverny dans le Val d’Oise, l’atelier d’Ourida Ichou, artiste peintre d’Argenteuil qui lui insuffle la fibre créatrice.
En 2005, il fonde son propre atelier « Couleurs et Vibrations » dans son petit village de Tostes qu’il anime, toujours aujourd’hui, pour des peintres amateurs : un atelier résolument ouvert sur l’art contemporain et dont la vocation est d’aiguiser le regard artistique, de développer la créativité et d’affirmer une personnalité.

Les œuvres d’Hervé Marchelidon sont d’inspirations diverses : personnages, natures mortes, paysages, portraits…
Le sujet n’est cependant qu’un prétexte à son imagination. Il modifie, recompose selon sa propre vision du monde.
Il peint principalement à l’acrylique sur support isorel, incorporant parfois collages, pastel gras ou fusain.
Il travaille également sur des linogravures illustrant "les histoires de Rose" de Renée Fayon.
Dans son œuvre, riche en couleurs, il offre une peinture vivante, toujours en quête de vibrations, force et lumière.
