Adrien Vernet est né le 17 juillet 1994 à Avignon d’une famille modeste.C’est en tant qu’artiste en herbe, profitant des opportunités matérielles de la profession de maçon de son père, qu’il commence à transformer certains matériaux de chantier en réalisations tridimensionnelles En 2012, il obtient son BAC STI Arts appliquée option arts plastiques. Il suit ensute une licence d’infographisme 3D dans une école spécialisée dans le jeu vidéo à Nîmes, licence qu’il obtient en 2015.En été 2015, il expose quelques travaux dans une galerie d’art située l’Isle sur la Sorgue.
Fin 2015, il répond à un appel à candidature pour participer à un concours aux ateliers Agora à Eyguières : il gagne le 1er prix décerné par un jury composé d’artistes variés avec sa sculpture « Stand up » réalisée en fil de cuivre torsadé et enroulé.
Le 5 et 6 mars derniers, il participe à l’événement »La nuit des talents » qui a lieu au Palais de la Bourse à Marseille. Il y expose quelques sculptures et dessins qui lui valent de remporter le grand prix du jury composé de personnalités du monde des arts, mais aussi le prix du public.
Demarche artistique:
N’ayant jamais été à mon aise dans la société depuis mon enfance, je me suis penché sur les êtres humains qui la composent et explorer la thématique de l’homme de façon inhérente.
Dès lors, la sculpture et le dessin me sont apparus comme un moyen de communication non-verbal pour retranscrire toute ma sensibilité, ma souffrance, mes émotions, mes attentes qui se situent en frontière entre espoir et désespoir. Mon travail tente à faire prédominer le versant oral, l’art du discours, des êtres humains, ce langage parlé si indispensable à notre société et pourtant si incommodant pour moi. Je m’efforce de donner vie à ces personnages en utilisant l’expression corporelle mais aussi le cri voir le hurlement, de façon à interpeller le visiteur.
