Mi piace pensare di essere semplicemente un improvvisatore di immagini colorate dal momento che, da autodidatta, continuo a provare appagamento nel disegnare e dipingere.
Avevo circa 13 anni quando studiando storia dell’arte, per me più affascinante del latino e del greco, incominciai a cimentarmi con le prime matite colorate per riprodurre tutto ciò che mi attraeva, alberi ed animali, figure umane e paesaggi, barche e scogliere.
Con il trascorrere degli anni ho continuato ad improvvisare le mie immagini incapace, però, di trovare una espressione pittorica che mi appagasse.
Così, nei ritagli di tempo libero, di fatto non molti, che mi concedeva la mia professione ho tentate tecniche e forme molto diverse, spesso anche lontane tra loro.
Finalmente oggi, dopo essere stato fagocitato per sessanta anni ininterrotti dal lavoro, sto rivivendo il piacere di mettermi alla prova con pastelli, pennelli e colori pur continuando ad essere sempre e soltanto un semplice improvvisatore di immagini.
