About the author
Self-taught, my painting was born somewhere on the other side of the imagination where hands obey brushes more than everyday certainties.
The taste for color and drawing comes to me from childhood but it is really from the age of 30 that I undertake with the help of teachers, learning the different techniques of watercolor, oil, dry pastel and acrylic.
For everything abstract, I have a preference for acrylic, an odorless and quick-drying water-based paint, which also allows me, unlike oil, to add mortars or objects such as pearls or pieces of fabric, paper in masking.
Whereas for all my portraits I use oil paint. The advantage is its slow drying, which allows me to take the time necessary to mix my colors well, and to work on my subject for several days until the desired rendering is obtained.
I paint alone in my studio and often to music, another inseparable friend of my life who helps me to access the paths of the imagination.
My sources of inspiration are multiple, I cultivate eclecticism. My mediums are canvas and sometimes wood.
I work in “letting go”. Painting corresponds for me to an inner necessity, my painting wants to be dreamlike, symbolic, mysterious. The colors spring from a tangle of signs and shapes.
