J’ai toujours aimé dessiner. Je tiens ce don de mon grand-père qui était mineur de fond et peintre autodidacte. Il dessinait à la craie sur les berlines de charbon.
En 2007 j'ai décidé qu'il n'était jamais trop tard pour se faire plaisir et j’ai suivi différents cours de dessin et de modèle vivant à l 'École d'Art de Douai, jusqu'en 2017.
Ce que j’aime c'est dessiner les gens.
A présent, je me consacre presque essentiellement aux nus et parfois aux portraits.
Je travaille le plus souvent au crayon, au fusain, au pastel, à l ’encre…
J’aime parfois réaliser mes œuvres en "blanc sur noir". (Craie d'art et pastel blanc sur papier noir).
Dessiner les gens, réaliser un portrait ou un nu sont des défis passionnants pour moi, car au-delà de la ressemblance (que je vise ou pas, cela varie), il faut parvenir à exprimer la vie, à extérioriser des émotions, à raconter l'autre.
