About the author
Born to Guérande in 1961 in a family of artists, I work as a chef in La Baule during decade in ‘l’Espadon’ and in ‘La Mascotte’, the gourmet restaurants. Over the years, the painting became another shape of expression the need for which I felt. Just like the nature, the fishing and the music which are the inheritance of my father.
I turned to representational art but for me the painting had to be a mode of expression and not the copy as I made it. Then, I chose the abstract. I did not paint any more to please, I painted because I had something to say. More than the forms, they are colors and movement on various supports as the paper, the painting, the plaster, the plexiglas which are important in my work.
No calculation, any purpose, just a way of expressing the way I feel as I paint. It is as well for it as I use the acrylic. If it was necessary to qualify my work, I would say that it is about an impulsive painting, a total detachment which amazes me every time because I leave on every painting an emotion more than a « work ».
Of return in the Peninsula in 2011, I settled down in Turballe on the wild coast. After numerous trips where I fed my inspiration, I dedicate myself from now on to the painting. 2015 will be the beginning of a new adventure.
