Davide De Luca nasce a Liegi (Belgio), da genitori italiani, il 22/01/1969, ma all'età di 1 anno si trasferisce con la famiglia a Roma. Artisticamente è un autodidatta che ha percorso la vera gavetta, trovando un proprio stile ed esponendo prima in piccole gallerie poi in spazi importanti con personali di successo. Fin da bambino si appassiona alla Pittura, grazie ad uno zio collezionista, visitando i musei e le gallerie d'arte che la Roma degli anni 70-80 poteva offrire. Risalgono all'infanzia le prime opere su carta. Continua a dipingere e a frequentare gli ambienti artistici, ma è solo negli anni 90 che sente di aver consolidato un proprio stile, o meglio di aver creato un mondo di sua esclusiva appartenenza. Nel 1999 approda alla storica galleria "Il Labirinto",sede anche della rivista culturale "Il Bimestre" fondata dal Poeta Leonardo Sinisgalli, dove, incoraggiato dai pittori Tonino Caputo e Franco Valente, tiene una mostra personale che vede esposte oltre 50 opere, ottenendo ampi consensi sia di pubblico che di critica. "Ad una prima lettura i suoi quadri ci appaiono come esplosioni astrali in mondi in divenire, forme a volte solide, a volte gassose, ci pare quasi di intravedere dei paesaggi che pian piano vanno formandosi per poi di nuovo scomporsi nelle tele successive". Seguiranno una serie di rassegne e mostre collettive. Le sue opere vengono esposte insieme a quelle di : Caputo, Vespignani, Corpora, Turcato, Scanavino, Guttuso, Schifano, Montanarini, Monachesi, Dorazio, Licata, Perilli e molti altri. Nel 2008 diverse opere gli vengono commissionate dalla IBL Banca Spa e sono tuttora permanentemente esposte al pubblico nelle Filiali di Roma, Genova, Mestre.
