About the author
Davide Locatelli nasce a Monza, il 10 settembre 1978. Si diploma in Arte Grafica Pubblicitaria presso l’istituto “M.K. Gandhi” di Besana Brianza (Milano) nel 1998. Nello stesso anno presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, frequenta i corsi di arte concettuale condotti dallo scultore e artista Luciano Fabro, sezione pittura. Frequenta poi per due anni il corso di specializzazione in ArteTerapia, presso l’associazione ARTEA di Pavia. I soggetti delle più recenti opere ad olio sono caratterizzati da una forte carica onirica, emergono da emozioni sommerse, e prendono vita sotto forma di simbolismi, suggestioni e sentimenti viscerali. L'astratto, il respiro, scende dal cielo per fecondare la terra, il sangue. La vita è racchiusa all'interno dei corpi, protetta dall'oscurità necessaria, ed emerge attraverso quel particolare bagliore degli occhi che la rende visibile. Gli organi hanno colori stupendi e in queste opere hanno la possibilità di essere manifesti, al pari dei cieli e delle nuvole al tramonto.
