About the author
As a child growing up in Manchester, CT, countless hours were spent drawing and coloring, and this seemed to be the most natural way for me to express myself.
As an adult living in central CT, I began to frequent area art museums, and take classes and workshops in several mediums: charcoals, pastels, acrylics, wataercolors, oils, as well as pottery, jewelry making and anything I could find! To this day, I continue to educate myself through local classes and workshops, and most recently I've attended Chris Piantek's Middletown Adult Ed class, and Elizabeth Sennett's oil painting class in East Hampton. I belong to the East Hampton Art Association and the Brownstone Arts Group in Portland.
For the past 10 years my concentration has been in painting watercolor landscapes, but most lately I have also done some work in oils. I find that painting is a most therapeutic and fulfilling means of self-expression.
My dream is to pass on my love of art to others.
