Born in 1937 at Paris (France) (French family and Bulgarian family), the artist has been influenced by Turner’s and Whistler’s light and sensibility bewitched since his youth by the great impressionist masters. He shows his work in several galleries throughout France and from time to time Europe and the United States.
The self taught François-Vassil ANDREEFF has a special form of expression with his palette essentially consisting of reds, blues, oranges and yellows (curiously almost without greens).
His canvases are enchantments of colour; the mood and places seem familiar although very often purely imaginative...
